San Francisco this afternoon, and left
out for down-Sound porta.
The ateam schooners Wasp and Pee
departed today, after each had loaded
SOo.OoO feet of lumber at the Tanaper
mill. The Wasp went to Belllngham to
complete. The Bee took part cargo at
Everett and Kngle Harbor. Both freight
ers are bound for 3an Francisco.
The steamers Farallon and Dirigo both
arrived In from Southeastern Alaskan
ports with general cargo. The Farallon
brought 40 tons of ore and 630 tons of
gvpsura rock, for local plants. On the
Dirigo were 350 tons of gypsum rock and
30 -tons of marble in huge blocks. Both
vessels report dirty weather in the
North.

registration at the County Clerk's office
when the books were closed last evening
was 2M1. The number at the corre
sponding time two years ago was 19TS.

for holding the primaries and convention.
The primaries will be held on May 7.
