WEATHER CONDITIONS.
The storm noted yesterday evening off the
Washington coast is apparently dividing Into
two parts, one of which Is now central off
the mouth of the Columbia River and the
other is forming over Nevada. The follow
ing maximum wind velocities have been re
ported: Tatoosh Inland. 6tf miles east, and
North Head 30 miles east. The storm warn
ings are continued at all seaports, but it is
not expected the storm will be a severe one
on this coast. During the last 24 hours light
to moderately heavy rains have fallen In
Western Oregon. Western Washington and
Northern California, snd some snow fell in
the Interior of Western Oregon preceding
the rain. East of the Cascade Mountains
the weather Is threatening, but no snow of
consequence has fallen except In the Walla
Walla country, where about an Inch and a
half Is reported.
The indications are for rain Friday In
Western Oregon and . Western Washliyrtm,
and for rain or snow east of the Cascade
Mountains. It will be slightly warmer.
