NOTICES to Municipal Bond Buyers. Notice
Is hereby given that the Town or Maoton,
County of Yakima, state of Washington,
offers for sale $7000 of its waterworks
bonds, and $7000 of its general indebted
ness bonds, being In all 28 bonds of the
denomination of $500 each, which shall bear
the date of their issue, with interest at the
rate of five (5) per cent per annum, pay
able semi-annually; the "waterworks
bonds' are payable twenty (20) years from
their date, and are authorized by Section
1077 of Bellinger's Annotated Codes and
Stautes of Washington, as amended by
Chapter 85 of the Session Laws of said
state for the year 1901, and pursuant to
ordinances No. 38, 39 and 43 of the ordi
nances of the Town of Mabton;
The "general indebtedness" bonds are
payable 15 years from their datea and are
authorized by Section 1197 and 1198 of
Ballinger's Annotated Codes and Statutes
of Washington relative to Indebtedness and
bonds for general purposes in cities and
towns, and pursuant to ordinances Nos.
40, 41 and 44 of the ordinances of the Town
of Mabton. No bid can be accepted on said
28 bonds for less than par, nor at a rate
of interest greater than five 5) per cent
per annum. All bids should be sent to the
Town Clerk of the Town of Mabton, Wash
ington, and all bids will be opened and duly
considered by the Town Council at 8 o'clock
P. M, on August, the 1st day, 1907, at a
regular meeting of said Council.
Each bid must be accompanied by
certified check drawn on some solvent band,
pavable to the order of the Town Clerk of
said town In the sum equal to three (3)
per cent of the amount bid for said bonds,
which check shall be forfeited to said town
