NEW TODAT.
A home in Rose City Park is the embodiment of every
feature that makes the man satisfied, the wife contented
and comfortable and the children happy and healthful. The
short ride from business, the delicious cool of the evening
and the complete restfulness of the environment combine
in making Rose City Park a most satisfactory place to live.
The pure, refreshing air, the presence of every modern
convenience and the inspiring scenery on every side con
tribute to woman's greatest comfort and contentment.
The shady groves, gentle sunshine, pearly clouds and safe
retreat from the turmoil of the city idealizes Rose City
Park as a place for properly bringing up the child. Every
comfort of a perfect home is realized in Rose City Park

"A hundred men may make an
encampment, but it. takes a wom
an to make a home." Chinese
Proverb.
When you stop to think of the
time that a man spends at home,
compared with his wife, you be
gin to realize the necessity of pro
viding a home with greater con
sideration for her wishes.
The average business man sleeps
eieht hours out of the twentv-fonr: ?
spends upwards of eleven hours at 'j
work and going and coming, count- h ' j
ing the evenings that he is required T ..;
to put in, leaving him barely five (
hours at home. A large part of fe
this time is consumed in eating.
Hence a man's actual time at
hqme, when he is really enjoying
its comforts, is less than four hours
a day.
The average woman sleepB eight
hours, does not spend more than
two hours a day outside of her
home, and the balance of the time
is attending to her domestic affairs
and pleasures, but ever at home.
The time that she spends at home,
therefore, is upwards of fourteen
hours a day; over three times that
oi ner nusDanu.
In all justice to the man, it
seems befitting that he should al
low the opinions of his wife to out
weigh his own, three to one, when
the question of providing a home
is discussed. Not only is her
preater familiarity with home con
ditions valuable, but her finer sen
timents would develop such home
attractions as would cause a man
to seek for a longer enjoyment of f

This week we will be pleaded to give especial attention to the women of Portland who would like to visit Rose
City Park. If they will telephone to us or call at the office, our automobiles will be at their service We are firmly
convinced that the beauties of Rose City Park will appeal to the women in such a way as to be of everlasting benefit to
that section of the city. We court their opinion.
