Fugitive Who lied Charmed Life and Evaded Numerous Posses, Es- caped From San Quentln. ROSEBURG, Or.. April 16. (Special.) CV 111 ram Kohn, who was arrested at Drain Tor the robbery of the Postoffloe, and who confessed he ls a fugitive from Justice from Ukiah, cal-. where he is wanted to serve out a 15-year sentence for rob bery, now confesses he is the person who created so much trouble and for whom the citizens of the Lorane country hunted so faithfully. Kohn says he was shot at repeatedly and that either the persons hunting bim wera badly excited and scared or were very poor shots. In any event the house where he was concealed was filled with lead., but he remained unhurt. The story that he was shot and that he stopped and sat down on a log; to bandage his wounds Is proven to be a canard by the fact that be is unhurt. The officers in Ukiah have been com municated with, and it ls expected they will come for him noon. ONFESSESTHE MURDER rSmJth Says That He, Abner and Jett Killed Cockrill.
