Fire destroyed the plant of the Avalanche at Silver City yesterday. The press and some of the type were saved, but every thing else was consumed, including the flics. The Avalanche was one of the oldest papers of the Btate, and Its files were highly valued for the story they told. The paper was being run under lease by Jake Horn.
