2. A line from some point of connection
with the railroad of The Oregon Railroad
Sz Navigation Company between -Dayton. In
the State of Washington, and Bolles. - In the
State of Washington, thence in a southerly
direction on some suitable route to a con
nection with the railroad of Mill Greek
Flume & Manufacturing Company.
3. A line from some, point at or near Day
ton, in the State of Washington, on some
suitable route to some point at. or near
Lewlston. In the State of Idaho, or at or
near Asotin, In the State of Washington.
4. A line from some point at or near El
berton. in the State of Washington, or nt

ton, to the headwaters of the Palouse River,

scribe for or purchase the stock or bonds
of any company owning or operating any
such railroad or steamboat line, and to guar
antee or otherwise secure the payment of
any such bonds, or the interest thereon, by
pledge or mortgage of Its property, or oth
erwise, and to consolidate with or lease or
contract for the operation and maintaining
of. any and all such railroad or steamboat
companies so aided.
Fifth To purchase or lease lands,
whether adjacent or contiguous to its rail
roads, landings or warehouses, or not. and
to hold, possess. Improve. lease, sell, mort
gage or otherwise dispose of such lands,
in such manner as may be deemed fit.
Sixth To borrow money on bonds, notes,
or otherwise, for the general purposes of
the corporation, and to mortgage Its rail
roads, telegraph lines, steamboats, fran
chises, rolling stock, right of way, and
any and all other property to secure the
payment thereof.
Seventh To lease or sell to any other
corporation the lines of railroad, steam
boat and telegraph of this corporation, to
gether with all and every of the properties
