Secretary of War Taft. In referring to

"Dear Sir: The writer desires to be put

CHARMED THE EX - MAYOR
One of the most beautiful Instru
ments ever exhibited In the "West, was
this afternoon purchased by ex-Mayor
Rowc He was shown the various
makes handled by the Eilcrs Piano
House, but when his gaze fell upon
the $1000 Weber pianola piano encased
in a wonderfully beautiful Circassian
walnut case, with the latest French, or
dull, finish, the temptation was too
great and he purchased It Immediately.
The casing looks as if it was wrapped
with leopard skins, so beautiful an I
striking is the finish. But the case Is
only an outer exhibition of the truly
wonderful tone quality that comes from
within.
Another noteworthy Instrument that
was sold at Eilcrs Piano House yes
terday is a charming Louis XIV design
of a Weber piano, in rich mottled ma
hogany case, which was secured by
Mr. and Mrs. Gage, of the Oregon Auto
Despatch, pnly five of these famous and
costly Louis XIV art style Weber
pianos have ever been shipped to the
North Pacific Coast, and all were sold
by Ellers Piano House.
