creased generally over the North Pacific
States and thunderstorms have occurred at
Walla Walla and Pocatello. Moderately
heavy rain is reported at Kalispell. but else
where none of consequence has fallen.

age caused Ty the recent cold weather to
the vineyards of middle Rhine region
show serious losses, in the best districts.
The vineyards present a sorry spectacle.
Some famous vineyards in location like
Johannesberg, Geisenhelm, Erbach and
Hattenhelm suffered particularly, and
will hardly produce .anything like an aver
age crop. Rhine Hessen also suffered se
