TONOPAH, April 16. Only one death ias occurred since yesterday morning, and eas due to unsanitary conditions. Specl ions of blood in various stages have seen Bent to the Marine Hospital Serv ice at San Francisco, with the view of iletermining the nature of the malady. rhe town is in charge of six committees, i-ach having a district. They are ordering bverybody to remove the filth from their ards. Many closets have been nailed up md others have been upset. The com mittees worked all today and far into I he night. As .in all new mining camps, there Is much to do. It is admitted that the death rate in March and April has been high, but the published reports -have been greatly ex aggerated. The situation Is now well In nand. There is no danger for persons vho observe the ordinary sanitary rules. ?he fears of the residents have been al layed, and there is no further exodus.
