OF THE STORE MARKS THE FOURTH WEEK OF THE MIGHTY DISLODGMENT SALES
The supreme factor in these great sales, where sacrifices are forced upon us that we are powerless to prevent, no alternative being left us bat the risk of damage to hundreds of thousands of dol
lars' worth of dependable, worthy and fashionable merchandise, is the fact that (a few contract goods alone excepted) ABSOLUTELY EVERY ARTICLE OF MERCHANDISE UNDER OUR
ROOF IS REDUCED AS NEVER BEFORE! THE GREAT JANUARY SALES ARE OUTDONE IN BARGAIN-GIVING! THIS IS AN EVENT LONG TO BE REMEMBERED IN THE AN
NALS OF PORTLAND MERCHANDISING for years may pass ere again pitiless circumstances force such merciless sacrifices. We print this morning only the overflow of two great lull pages of
bargain items crowded out in both Sundav and Mondav issues of The Oresronian. EVERY ADVERTISED SPECIAL OF THE WEEK is in force today, and everything in the house mightily reduced
for quick, clean clearance before alterations begin and Bedlam reigns. Why should you pay other stores regular prices when you may buy here at reduced prices pocketing the difference? Ask your
purse this question.

DASHING, DARING, CHIC AND FETCHING COSTUMES FOR
WETTING OR WADING AND EVERY ONE OF THESE
NEW SUITS SMARTLY REDUCED.
We've just received our Summer supply of the swellest Bathing
Suits that the "Portland Girl" ever imagined. Suits that lend a
chfrm to their dainty feminine wearers. Time was when 'twas said
if a lover could withstand the bedraggled appearance of his fiancee
after a plunge in the breakers, made in one of the old-fashioned bath
ing suits, he could stand anything and was surely in love. No one
need to take such chances now-a-days, girls, for the new Summer Bath
ing Suits are beauties and will stand wetting without losing a bit 6i
charm. We should sell every bathing suit that's bought in Portland
this season, for we've not only the prettiest, but every SUIT IS RE
DUCED FROM THE START. You may select your new bathing
suit here now at the price you'll pay other stores late in August
and another fact worth remembering, the lines are new, immense and
unbroken. You'll be properly in the swim with one of these. Price
hints.
