Bandits May Be in Seattle.
SEATTLE. May S. George Gates and
two other men who are supposed to have
been the robbers who held up a Southern
Pacific train at Copley. Cal., on March
31. are believed to be In the vicinity of
Seattle. Railroad detectives were here
yesterday getting the description of a
man who tried to pass a money order in
a South End saloon. The money order
is thought to have been one of those
stolen.
The description of this man fits per
fectly that of George Gates.
