The above is an illustration of the nev up-to-date Machine Warehouse of the Ad
vance Thresher Company of Battle Creek, Mich., situated on the corner of East Second
and Belmont streets, Portland, Or.
This modern Threshing Machine "Warehouse is thoroughly up "to date in every de
tail, being equipped with one of the Moon freight elevators, with a lifting capacity of 20,000
pounds, and capable of taking one of the biggest threshing rigs from basement to the upper
floor, thus furnishing us with a convenience that cannot be equaled for prompt shipments.
This building has a capacity for storing 100 complete threshing outfits, besides giv-
ing ample room for work-shop and a well-equipped "extra" room, where, in the future,
we will carry a full stock of all lines of extras for the Advance machinery.
The building of this house became necessary owing to the unprecedented growth of
the business, which has grown in the last two years from $50,000 per annum'to a quarter
of a million dollars. .
The goods speak for themselves, and as a money-maker for the operator of them and
the ageitf handling them they have no equal.
We will take pleasure in showing our agents and customers through the house when
visiting the city, and are now. ready to make contracts for handling our goods through
Oregon, Washington, Idaho and California.
Write us for Catalogue and price list. We will also be glad to have one of our trav
elers call on you with a view of doing some business in the near future.
The Advance machinery has a world-wide reputation. An honest, square dealing
policy with patrons and agents has given this firm the confidence of the public, and every
where you find them loyal to their standard bearer, "The Banner Boy."
