"WEATHER CONDITIONS.
A disturbance of decided character developed
suddenly Thursday afternoon over the Great
Salt Lake basin. It has caused moderately
heavy snows In Southern Idaho and Eastern
Oregon, and light rains in "Western Oregon,
Western "Washington and Northern California.
It is warmer in Western Oregon, and slightly
cooler in Northeastern Washington, hut else
where the changes in temperature have been
email.
The Indications are for light snow in South
ern Idaho and Eastern Oregon Friday, and
colder weather. In Western Oregon It will be
cloudy, probably followed 'during the after
noon by clearing weather.

David R, Francis, of Missouri, and Adol
phus Busch, of St. Louis, who are here
on business connected with the Louisiana
Purchase Exposition, saw the President
today to consult "with him about the detail
of Army officers to the exposition, and
the dispatch of agents of the exposition
abroad. They also visited the heads of
various departments in connection with
the Government's exhibit.
