SPOKANE. Dec. 31. A double tragedy
took place this 7nornlng at Wayside, 35
miles north of this city. George Vroman,
Postmaster and a leading merchant shot
his 6-ycar-oJd daughter, then shot him
self, both dying- In r few minutes without
making any statement ns to the cause.
"Vroman's wife secured a divorce from
.him laat week on the charge of cruelty.
and the two daughter? were awarded to
her custody. It Is believed Vroman
brooded over this and the tragedy lsthe
result.
