WEATHER CONDITION'S.
The storm yesterday central over Montana
has moved eastward, and a second disturbance
Is approaching the Washington coast this even
ing. Southwest storm warnings were ordered
hoisted at 5:30 P. M., at Astoria and Aberdeen,
and advisory messages announcing the storm's
approach were sent to stations on Puget Sound
and along the Straits of Juan de Fuca. HIgn
southwest winds will prevail tonight and Mon
day along the Oregon and Washington coasts,
with southwest gales at sea.
Rain has fallen at nearly all stations In this
district during the last 24 hours, and there
has been a general rise in temperature east of
the Cascades.
The indications are for cloudy and threaten
ing weather with rain In this district Monday.

sue of bonds, and to submit with their bids a
certified check on a bank in the City of Port
land, Or., equal to 5 per cent of the aggre
gate amount of their bid, payable to the
Mayor of the City of Portland, as liquidated
damages In case such bidder withdraws his
