An area of high pressure, of conslderab
magnitude has moved In from the ocean, andf
this evening occupies the Great Salt "Lake'

fallen in the North Pacific States. Northern
California and Northern Nevada. The Indica
tions are for occasional rain In this district
Thursday west of the Cascades, and generally
fair weather east of them. Cooler weather la
expected to be felt over all sections of the
Pacific Northwest Thursday.

today stepped down and out of the con
trolling ownership and management of
the Northwestern Elevated, the Lake
Street Elevated and the Union Loop Com
panies, transferring his Interests to East
ern capitalists. At the same time steps
were taken looking toward the consolida
tion under one management of all the ele
vated traction systems in Chicago.
