WEATHER SYNOPSIS.
A storm of marked energy Is central over the
Straits of Fuca. and Its influence extends over
the entire Pacific Northwest In the form of
ilgh winds and heavy rains along the coast and
copious rains cart of the Cascades. It Is the
most severe storm of the season. A thunder
storm Is reported from Astoria, with 1.18 Inches
of rain for Wednesday, and a wind of 42 miles
per hour, from the southeast. Portland's rain
fall. 0.70 nch. with a wind of 40 miles per
hour, from tho couth Seattle, 0.63 Inch. rain-.
Xall, with wind of 20 miles, from the south.
High temperature for the season continues east
of the Cascades.
Storm southwest signals are displayed at all
ports on the Coast, Sound and Straits.
