WEATHER SYNOPSIS.
Heavy rain over British Columbia, Washing
ton, Idaho and Orejon has resulted from the
low area which appeared yesterday over Van
couver, and has moved eastward over the
Canadian provinces. The rain was heaviest at
Astoria, where 2 Inches has fallen in the past
12 hours. At 8 P. M. rain was yet In contin
uance at Astoria, Portland, Roseburg, Kalls
pell. Baker City, Boise and Pocatello. The
winds have not been heavy along the coast, but
have been britk east or the Cascades. The
warm weather continues over the Northwest.
A rise of 12 deg. has occurred at Spokane. At
Walla Walla, which is the wannest place re
porting, the temperature is 50 deg. Along the
coast there Is a rising pressure, which is some
indication of a high area mo-lng In from the
ocean, in which case a short period of fair
weather may ensue, with decreasing temper
