In the Louvre for many years Is, us all
tho world knows, an Imperfect pleco
of sculpture, though It Is tho 'greatest
treasure of Its kind the world has ever
seen. A great reward would bo given
tho man who could llnd tho missing
parts. About twenty-eight years ago
tho most Important of them tho right
arm came to light In Ioudon and was
proved by experts to bo genuine. Tho
owner, however, refused to part with
It and concealed It for fear It would
be stolen. Unfortunately he died with

A bronze drinking cup which was

whole history of tho lMiaroahs and It
could easily bo sold for $100,000. In
fact tho French government offered a
reward of $14,000 for Its discovery, but
tho famous cup has vanished, probably
forever.

though It would bring ? 1.10,000 to tho

and a Itcmbrandt missing, for which
collectors nro willing to pay ?L00,(K)0.

night preparatory to going on tho stage,
when a man suddenly entered and,
drawing a dagger, said ho was going

Tho actress saw at once that tho man
was mad and meant what ho said. So
with tho utmost coolness sho replied :
"Certainly I will marry you. I wish
nothing totter. Come with mo to tho
priest at once; I Imvo had him coino

She took his arm and they went out
together to where thero was assist
