and McCumber today by the steering
committee that the senate will not per
mit them to continue their hold-up of
thin nomination which it is apparent to
practically the entire senate that Wick
ersham has been unjustly accused and
that the fight against him is not being
made in good faith. It is unusual for
the senate to take such drastic meas
ures with its own members.

CYCLONE IN MONTANA.

damage. Several persons were injured,
