VEGETABLE UNIVERSAL PILLS.
IT is generally known that my arandfather was the
original inventor of these remarkable pills.
He was a scientific man, and a medical practitioner
of the Old .Vuool. Itnl becoming alarme.1 at the mor
tality that attended the Weeding and Mineral Prac
tice, he turned his attention to the study of nature and
the philosophy of disease, as also to the natural reme
dial agents which he found to exist exclusively in the
Vegetable Kingdimi. In his researches and investi
gations, he became fully satislled that the life was in
the blood; that by whatever name diaeasee were dis
tinguished, impurity of the blood wis the source of
all a simpie and truthful doctrine, which, in reducing
all diseases to a unit, necessarily established the fact
that all were to be treated en the same general prin
ciples, vis: by purgation.
Now the grand difficulty consisted in devising a veg
etable compound that would invigorate, purity, and
oleanse the bluod, oorreet and regulate all the differ
ent secretions, and by purgation discharge Uie whole
mass of morbid matter from the body, without reduc
ing the strength. After thirty years uf close applica
tion, he considered bis object fully accomplished in
the production ol these pills, which have now been
before the public Oue Hundred and Fourteen Years,

dreth's Vegetable Universal Life Preserving Pills

which time their superior excellence and virtues have
