ber last, the publication, in this city, of a weekly newspa

It is printed on a large sheet, twenty-seven hv forty-two
inches, and ia furnished at the luw prices stated below.
It will contain all the original matter of the daily Aiiiom
al RtpMiaut, with the exception of local newa not inter
esting to conntrv subeciibers. It will give full reports ol
the proceedings of Congress, and of tbcotherdepartincnts
of the national Government. It will contain all the news
of the dav, foreign and domestic, markets, etc., as well
as o'winul correspondence from all parta of the country.
The miscellaneous department will receive special attention
and in all respects, the effort will be made to establish the

any pretention to be the orgun of the President. There is
no Republican paper in the District of Columbia, or in the
vicinitv ot it, and it is believed that recent events have
opened to such a paper an important spnereoi useitii cnon.
The time has come, when the actual administration of the
Government upon Republican principles will explode the
misrepresentations which have made those principles so
distasteful to the South. But it ia not only here, and in
this vicinitv, that the projectors of the Xation.it A'ywiWiu
hope to make it nselul. To the whole country they otter a
journal which will discuss national politics from a national
standpoint, and which will never be swerved from patriotic
duty by any overpowering pressure of local interest.
