It Is safe to prophesy that the all-over
lnce gown will be worn all the winter for
dressy occnslons. Many new effect m In
all-over tiets are shown. The tendency
Is to make up these dresses In simple out
line from throat to the point where the
foot frou-frou begins. That Is usually
half way below the knee. Nets embroid
ered or outlined with chenille or very

A very pretty gown of this sort hold the
left of this plctute. It wus creaui net
over white satin, the skirt llounce being

pompous trimmed the front.
For unlet elegance the new gowns Iu
smooth cloth of pastel quality are to be
commended. They are made Iu simple

or 'Mowers, or Iu cashmere or oriental de
signs nud color The embroidery may bo
either Iu demure rows or panels, or iniiy
be scnttcrcd oddly about the bodice and

Of the two tho artist sketched the first
was white broajlcloth embroidered iu gilt,
with a black satin collar embroidered lu
red. The other wus pnatel green cloth,
stitched with red and embroidered with
red cherries, A bodlco af white crepe de
chine with tucked yoke uud collar wuit
with this. A gown of cloth with a shott
jacket embroidered to match the skirt U
a stylish combination. The Jacket may
be of taffeta, and should be lined te
watch the embroidery.
