Dan, Great question. Please don’t put plastic bags in your recycling. Bags cause major problems with machinery at the recycling facility in Portland. Good news though- Return plastic bags and film packaging (if clean and dry) to your supermarket. That includes bags that cover produce, bread, paper towels, drycleaning, and case wraps. questions to: Photo by Paul Kollas “Spring is just around my neighbor’s corner on Fourth Street,” writes Paul Kollas as he submits this image of a pink viburnum. He said a regular customer put down the starter donation for a pub tab to help out anyone coming in who might be short of funds and needing a meal. (Solera is open 4-8 p.m. for takeout.) The tab is for food only, but Kahler has a way to help out the beer and cider customers who want to take home a growler: Under COVID regulations, any growler’s got to be a fresh one; they can sell you a new one at cost, $3. ■ Send your Coping With COVID story to hrnews@ho- odrivernews.com.
