W EB’ C ANCELED
Columbia Center for the Arts’ production of
“Charlotte’s Web,” has been canceled due to
coronavirus concerns. The classic E.B. White
tale was directed by Jennifer Harty. A “friends
and family” show was performed March 13,
and then the show “went dark.” Here are a
few scenes: Above, Charlotte the spider (Ka-
trina Zavalney) meets the pig Wilbur (Hanna
Clute) who is in danger of getting turned into
pork chops by Farmer Arable (Joshua Sharp)
though Mrs. Arable (Rebecca Stryker Ewing)
and Fern Arable (Heidi Hoppus) intervene.
Edith and Homer Zuckerman (Jana Hannigan
and Bill Weiler) and Lurvy the farmhand
(Connor Ward) realize they have something
special when Charlotte starts inscribing
messages in silk.
