PET OF THE WEEK
Puppy Caramello ready for forever family
This week volunteers at
Adopt A Dog have selected
Caramello as the program’s
adoptable pet of the week:
Wow-zah! This little girl
here is what we call “The
Total Package!” Caramello
is a puppy — about 5
months old — and probably
a Chiweenie and maybe Rat
ter rier mixed in there.
Eight pounds of A-DOR-A-
BLE!
She was found in North
Washington a few months
ago, hiding under some-
one’s car during that dread-
ful heat wave, scared to
p i e c e s,
and
totally
stressed. She was so upset
she had some health issues
related to her circum-
stances … mainly of the in-
Caramello
testinal kind. But she was
transferred down to us, and
we’ve treated her tummy
and shown her just how
great being a puppy can be,
and she’s all better now!
Caramello has blossomed
into everything we love
about the youngsters —
playful, always happy, curi-
ous, clumsy yet determined,
and always ready for adven-
ture! Caramello is as sweet
as her name implies! She
loves other dogs, thinks cats
are just another opportuni-
ty for a friend, and we’ve all
learned that she’s the per-
fect size for any lap! What a
snuggler she is! And kisser,
too!
Caramello is current on
shots, microchipped, but
too young for spay. The
adoption fee for Caramello
is $225, plus spay deposit.
The fee to adopt is charged
to recoup standard veteri-
nary expenses. Since many
of our dogs are in foster,
please call ahead to meet
Caramello in Odell at the
Hukari Animal Shelter, 3910
Heron Drive, or call for
more information at 541-
354-1083. Adoption hours
are Wednesday, 5-7 p.m. and
Saturday, 9-11 a.m. You can
