Tess and her hus- band, Patrick, run Hood Crest Winery on Orchard Road in Hood River. The winery has recently been awarded a silver medal for its 2012 Merlot in the San Francisco Chroni- cle Wine Competition, and a bronze for its 2012 Caber- net Sauvignon. The winery offers Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling, and a host of others. Hood Crest celebrated the Memorial Day Weekend with music from the Tess Barr Blues Band and pho- tos from that day were used in the magazine.
