(sar.ah.kah) Meek is showing large and
small scale oil paintings from her “To-
gether” series at the Hood River Library
from July 1 through Aug. 31.
Birds, trees and wind turbines sym-
bolize family, friends and relation-
ships. Her large, sweeping landscapes
were inspired by the Columbia River
Gorge and her Irish roots. Finely de-
tailed works on teabags set into shad-
ow boxes with rich velvet evoke scien-
tific specimens. It’s work to be enjoyed
by all ages.
After receiving a B.A. in Visual Com-
munication (Cum Laude) from CSUC,
Meek continued to study painting and
