The Port of Hood
River is requesting
bids for removal of
decomposed wood
waste material in a
historical log pond,
haul away, disposal
and back fill of the
area with compact-
ed, structural fill. The
location is at Lower
Hanel Mill, 3289
Neal Mill Creek
Road, Hood River,
Oregon 97031. This
work includes; re-
moval of approxi-
mately 15,000 cubic
yards
of
wood
waste, removal and
onsite storage of ap-
proximately 9,000
cubic yards of top
cover soil/rock, haul
and dispose of wood
waste to offsite loca-
tion to be selected
by Contractor (to be
approved by Port),
haul and fill resulting
pit with structural fill
and remaining on-
site top soil/rock to
meet
compaction
testing, fill to existing
grade. Contractor
shall supply equip-
ment, labor and ma-
terials at no addi-
tional cost to the
Port of Hood River.
This is a Federally
funded project. All
but the hauling (de-
livery) component of
this project is Pre-
vailing Wage and
subject to ORS
279C.800
to
279C.870 and the
Davis Bacon Act.
