Visitors to Hood River County for Blossom Week, or locals just in need of a refresher: here are five samples of new things in the com-
munity, be they permanent or temporary. Above, the State Street public restrooms were completed in March and are open, during day-
light hours, at Third Street. The facility was the last major piece of the 18-month Urban Renewal Project that transformed State Street

Alpha Gamma seeks
recipients for Pistil hats
Pistil recently donated four boxes of
merchandise with the intent that
Alpha Gamma distribute the hats to
those in need. In the past, Alpha
Gamma has delivered Pistil hats,
scarves, and gloves to local schools, the
Warming Shelter, and women/children
s h e l t e r s Au d r e y P r i c e o f A l p h a
Gamma donated two boxes to Helping
Hands Against Violence.

HR Saturday Market finds new home
Hood River city manager
Steve Wheeler announced
Monday that the Hood River
Saturday Market association
has found a new home for the
2015 season: Fourth and Oak
in the parking lot of Horse
and Hound pub.
The market will resume
June 6 at the new location,
from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Thursday Farmers
Market resumes May 7 at
Hood River Middle School. In
May and early June, the mar-
ket starts at 5 p.m.; once
school is out for the summer,
it will start at 4 p.m.
