from the river Seine and The
Policeman (Claire Hamada)
investigates along with (in
hat) The Prospector (Sam
Hannigan), the Waiter (Nick
Molina) and The Shoestring
Peddler (Dani Hildreth). The
body is that of Pierre
(Matthew McCravey) whose
dire circumstances soon
change in one eventful day
in Paris. The play is suitable
for all ages and runs about
2.5 hours including inter-

Springtime Salsa dancing March 13
Secret Salsa Society invites one and all to get ready for
spring with a Salsa dance lesson with our favorite in-
structor, Joshua Faulkner (dancewithjoystudios.com). It
happens Friday, March 13, at Mt. View Grange, 1085 N.
Main, White Salmon, Wash. The lesson starts at 7:30 p.m.
followed by social dancing until 10 p.m. No partner or ex-
perience needed. Cost is $10.
Interesting Mosier returns March 14
The annual Interesting Mosier event happens March
14, 7 p.m. at Mosier Community School. Cost is $5. This is
an evening of three-minute talks on subjects ranging
from “Ebola fashion 101” to “How Reagan Crashed a
Spaceship on Mars.”

Film ‘Forks Over Knives’ March 12 at Skylight
March 12, 7 p.m. join Tofurky at Andrew’s Pizza & Bak-
ery for a movie screening of “Forks over Knives.” Your
ticket will include one seat for the film, a free slice of

ticket.

■ The Pint Shack — Hood River Loop Ninja phenom
Tony Smiley spins his musical magic Saturday at The
Pint Shack, Fourth Street between Oak and Cascade, at
8:30 p.m. 21 and over. Cover charge of $6 includes one

■ River City Spring Jam — The house band of Alonzo
Garbonzo, Ted Horwitz, Al Hare and Jeff Minnick leads
the jam at River City Saloon’s Spring Jam Saturday, 7-9
p.m.
■ Double Mountain Brewing — The Wasco Brothers
take the stage at Double Mountain Brewing March 7 at 9
p.m.
On March 14, Double Mountain plans its annual day-
long anniversary party, this year the 8th, with headliners
The Quick and Easy Boys.
■ Springhouse Cellar — Blackberry Bushes — “Casca-
dian Twang and Sophistication” in an all-ages show
March 17 at 7 p.m.
Mark Womble and friends play TD Eagles
Mark Womble and friends will be playing at The Dalles
Eagles Lodge, March 7, from 7 to 11 p.m. Featuring Polly
Norris on vocals, guitar and banjo; Dennis Williams on
saxophone and clarinet; Mike DeMello on pedal steel and
vocals; Mike Mutton on lead guitar and vocals; Paul
Viemeister on bass, and Jose Maya on drums. The Dalles
Eagles Lodge is located at 2006 W 7th St. and features the
largest dance floor in the Columbia Gorge. There is a
cover charge of $3 for members and $4 for non-members.
Green Drinks goes to Hood River Hobbies
A family-friendly Green Drinks happens March 12 at
Hood River Hobbies from 5:30-7 p.m. Enjoy snacks from
Boda’s Kitchen and locally made beverages, play games
and learn about community classes and events such as
bird watching, gaming, radio-controlled vehicles, models
and rockets. The event is sponsored by Gorge Owned and
member businesses, Green Drinks is a monthly network-
ing event that aims to raise awareness about environ-
mentally friendly business practices while providing a
quality networking opportunity for members of the com-
munity. Cost: $5 suggested donation, free for GO! Mem-
bers.

Teddy Webber Scholarship
Dinner and Student Art Auc-
tion on March 12. This event,
which began in 1997, is held to
raise money for the school’s
artist in residence program
and the Teddy Webber schol-
arship fund.
All are welcome to join in
this community celebration
featuring a lasagna dinner
prepared by the talented chefs
at Celilo and Double Moun-
tain Brewery, with ingredi-
ents donated by Riverside at
the Hood River Inn, Pizzicato,
Solstice, Egg River Café, An-
drew’s Pizza, Pietros, Hood
River Taqueria, Papa Mur-
phy’s, Rosauers and Safeway.
Dinner is served from 4:30
