repair, home improvements
or new construction be reg-
istered with the Construc-
tion Contractors Board.
Registration means con-
tractors have a bond and
insurance. Home inspec-
tion businesses also must
be certified which means
the inspector has passed a
test and must comply with
standards of practice and

fine up to $5000 against the
