CHE modern apartment house is a tragedy. In the new apart
ment system there is a common dining room, with prepared
food brought up in trays from a common kitchen. To main
tain a home there must be a SEPARATEXESS. The social
unit is the home, and if we lose this we will lose a national asset.

TURNED OVER OUR CHILDREN TOO EXCLUSIVELY TO PUBLIC
TEACHERS. I BELIEVE IN THE PUBLIC 8CHOOLS. BUT I DO NOT
BELIEVE PARENTS CAN ESCAPE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF TRAIN
ING CHILDREN IN THE HOME. THEY OUGHT AT LEAST TO TRY
TO SPEAK GRAMMATICALLY IN THE CHILDREN'S HEARING.
