The apple crop east of the Ohio
river presents a varied map this
year, according to The Packer.
Tnere Is a promising outlook for
good crops In New York, Malue.
Virginia, West Vlrg'nla and most of
the New Knglnnd and North Atlantic
states. Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Prather to John Often, however, show up with a shortage.
In New York state there Is promise
of a heavy yield of Halittvlns. The
crop In the Hudson Klver valley.
however, will be the lightest In years.
Virginia expects a lmi per cent crop.
West Virginia's crop Is estimated at
(i per cent. Maine expects an aver
age crop, but Pennsylvania hopes
for only about "a I per cent of last
year's yield. As a whole Kentucky
ha a promising outlook, while both
Delaware and New Hampshire ex
pect larger crops than last year.
