F.speclally Is this so, I think, to those, like m,self, who are Interested at Hood l:iveronthe west side. I have made two trips recently to Hood Klver and have been very much Interested In Inspecting from the train the piece of road which Multnomah county graded last year from Bridal Yell to Multnomah Falls. While this has not all received a rock surface, It appears to be well laid out and graded and with every appearance of being the foundation of a fine road In time. When you have the opportunity, will you try to get and publish some Inloriuaiion on the following points: What Is the length of road neces sary to connect the town of Hood Klver with the Multnomah line? I A lis. '21 miles.) How many tulles of road now ex ist along the proposed route? This nil refers to the Hood Klver part. In other words, how many miles of road must be built to ciiui.ei t up the present disconnected stretches of road, now existing, to tii.ike the road conl iniious fivni Hood Kiver to the Multnomah Hue? iAiu. Is', miles exist ; i', must be built. I The Multnomah cominlssii .m r. Mr. IJgntller, now makes the claim 1 1 hope il is not all for pi 1 1 1 leal effect I that this end can be put through In two years. With the assistance of the ten thousand dollars which S. I'.eiisou has given, do the Hood Klver people expect, from the pres ent outlook, to be able to connect up their end in two years? lAns. Yes, If a sutlicknt appropriation can be secured here next year, or If state aid is obtained. ) What Is the distance from Cascade Locks to the Multnomah Hue and Is there any road there, thut Is, west of the town of Cascade Locks? Some of the Subjects to be Discussed by the Rev. Parsons: "A Few Pages from the Monstrous Book of Sin." "Old Never Fail." "Christ's Reply to Failures." "Honest Doubters and the Dissolution of Their Hindrances." "A Great Gulf Fixed." "Research and Candid Reflection Led to a Speedy Return." "The Other Fellow's Religion." "Why Were Israel's Lepers Not Healed?" "The Unstable Unable." "The Duty of the Strong Toward the Weak." "The Story of Jonah an Abiding Sign." These personal observations should serve as an index to the stand that will be taken in this revival : No truth is trivial. No worthy cause too hard to champion. No man can name a trend of sin in Hood River that I will not try to smite. Anyone is privileged to bring questions to these meetings. Informed that j Hood Klver Is to have a blossom fes- thai next month when the blooms' are at their best, the moving picture! people expressed their desire to take a few reels showing the orchards, the attractive farm-houses, the strings of autos which will be sirn on the roads at that time and the festival crowds. In order to do this to the best advantage they will lie furnished with an automobile Into which the moving picture machine will be loaded and as the machine passes along the blossom-scented roads the reels will lie ruu off. The same company secured some tine views of Sears and Porter's orchard two years ago and Intend to ni'ike the reels this year much more comprehensive. in Tot&tn and Valley Hellhronner Building Hood River, Oregon j I HrzzzzzrrzzxrrzrzrzxzzzxxzxzzxxzxriH 5 VA(iii;Ni;i WAN TS YOlTU thapi: t Inx)cjtmcn1not S peculation You take no chances when you buy your real estate through us -except to win.
