The order to occupy It was received by A Kent .1. H. 1'redrlcy Saturday afternoon, and bright and early Sunday morn ing the office force moved Into their new quarters and the doors were thrown open to the public. The new station Is a credit to the city, outside and In, and will accom modate many more people with greater convenience than the old structure. The finish of the Interior Is of Oregon fir, with benches to match. The sldewall for lour feet has a wainscoting In green fresco, with the rest of the wall and celling In yellow. The building Is heated throughout with the latest hot water heating apparatus. The wait ing room Is lighted by large globes set In the ceiling, while other parts of the building have drop and side lights. There Is a smoking room for men and a retiring room for ladies, with adequate and sanitary toilets. The floors through the entire build ing are laid In cement, with base boards In red marble. Three en trances lead into the waiting room, and It also has Inside coiinnunlcu tlon with the bagijag-' room. The latter Is substantially fitted up. Platform scales for weighing bag gage, a private olliee for the baggage man, and commodious ntorage room are some of Its features. The ticket otlice corresponds to the other parts of the building In it handsome finish. Communication with It for passengers is through a large bron.e grated window, while there Is also an en I ra nee for train men from the outside. REV. W. B, YOUNG OPENS PASTORATE I!ev. V. II. Young, the newly ap pointed pastor of Aslmry Methodist church of Mood liiver, preached his Introductory sermon Sunday to a large congregation and the members f the local church seemed well pleased with the new minister, liev. Young comes to Hood Riverfront I'alouse, Idaho. 1 1 is Initial effort in the loenl pulpit was listened to close ly by the large congregation, which expressed Its approval at the con clusion of the service. Mr. Young also made a favorable Impression with his congregation In n social way and commences his pastorale here under most favorable circum stances, lie has a wife and two children and he and his family expect to shortly be settled In the par sonage. Pastor Ilandsaker, who has been unable to attend because of sickness, was present for the first time Mon day evening and led a rousing song service.
