Greene lu this city will learn with In
terest of the wedding of his daughter
Miss Lucy S. (Jreene, who was mar
ried July llth to Hon. Henry F. Ma
sou, justice of the supreme court of
Kansas. The happy event occurred
at the home of Col. Greene at Rose
City Park, the ceremony being per
formed by Itev. W. G. Eliot, Jr., also
known here.
The bride Is the youngest daughter
of Col. Greene and the groom has
been associate justice of the supreme
court of Kansas. Judge Masons
home Is In Garden City, Kansas. He
has four years more to serve In bis
present otflce. Miss Greene was for
merly treasurer of the Kansas State
Historical Society.
Col. (ireene, father of the bride was
formerly prominent In Kansas poll-
tics, at one time holding the position
of railroad commissioner. He was
In the employ of the government for
10 years, coming to Portland nine
years ago as Innpector of the general
land of lice. It was he who first
brought to light the land fraud cases
developed later by Heney.
