Smith, wife and baby came up from Mojave, Calif., last week for a visit with his father. W. L. Smith, and family, Mr. Smith has many friends In Hood Klver having been operator here at one time. He has gone to Spokane where he will locate. Mrs. Smith will visit here for a few weeks before following him to their new home. Wm. McMnrrny, general passen ger agent of the Harrlman lines In Oregon, had as his guest here Mon day H. F. Forsberg, who holds a similar position In California. Mr. Forslnrg and Mr. McMurray were accompanied by their wives and came In the former's private car. They were taken for a ride over the valley and were shown the courtesies of the city by Secretary Skinner of the Commercial Club. Mrs. K. W. Sinclair and baby and her sister Miss Until Miller of Chicago arrived last week to make their home with their mother Mn Jennie Miller. Mr. Sinclair arrived here some time ago. Mis Miller Is a china painter of more than ordinary ability and will take up this work at Hood Klver.
