The ladles of the Civic Improve ment Club gave an old folks concert and New England supper t rlday eveulng at Lamb's hall. The pro ceeds will le used for maintenance of the street lights. Miss Mattle Hudson, who has been quite sick, Is reported much better. A. M. Hoop reports having a cow 1.1 mouths old and wants to know who can lieat It. (J. H. Korden re ceived a letter from his father at Mount Angel saying that he had a heifer 14 months old that had given birth to a tine Jersey calf. This beats A. M. just one month.
