MANZANITA – Artist
Jef Gunn will lead a group
of students on a beginning
plein-air landscape paint-
ing workshop at Hoff man
Center for the Arts on Fri-
day, Saturday, Sunday and
Monday from 9:30 a.m. to
5:30 p.m.
Students will work out-
doors as they learn to paint
a coastal landscape, using
principles of composition,
color and mixing.
Tuition for the four-day
workshop is $450. Some
materials will be provided.

Hike under the
full moon to
Sunset Beach
GEARHART – Angora Hiking Club will
lead explorers on a trek under the full moon
at Sunset Beach at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
Explorers will be led by Craig Holt, and
set off under sunset skies from Marine Drive
between Second and Third streets in Astoria.
Angora Hiking Club member dues
are $10 annually. Participants need not
be club members. For more information
