Hood to Coast Relay
fi nishes in Seaside with
music, awards

Proposals will be accepted
through Sept. 30 and should be
engaging, welcoming and suit-
able for the gallery’s 400-square-
foot space.

SEASIDE – Hood to Coast
Relay, a nearly 200-mile running
and walking relay race, will wrap
up with a fi nish line and celebra-
tion in Seaside on Saturday.
Sponsored by Providence,
this year’s relay will run multiple
courses, stretching from Mt. Hood
and Portland to the Pacifi c Ocean.
More than 1,000 teams of 8 to 12
runners each, and their supporters,
will celebrate the end of the relay.
The fi nish line event will fea-
ture music, a beer garden, awards

accepting gallery exhibit propos-

Wacky Putt-Putt mini-golf tour-
nament, organized by Wellspring
Community Network, will take
place at Fun Beach Fun Center
from 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday.
With a theme of “under the
sea,” this year’s tournament
will allow teams between two
and four players to arrange a
start time and play to support
local nonprofi ts. Prizes will be
awarded to three teams scor-
ing the most points, as well as
the team with the biggest age
spread and the team with the best
costumes.
Tickets cost $30 per individ-
ual or $100 per team. For more
