Oregon poet laureate to read in Manzanita MANZANITA – Anis Mojgani, Ore- gon’s poet laureate, will read from his works at Hoffman Center for the Arts at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Mojgani is the author of five books, a libretto and a forth- coming children’s book. His reading will close the center’s monthlong poetry walk. This event is free and open to the pub- lic. Cascadia Chamber Opera to perform ‘The Banshee’ ASTORIA – Cascadia Chamber Opera will perform “The Banshee,” an opera by Daniel Daly, at Charlene Larsen Center for the Performing Arts at 7 p.m. on Friday and 4 p.m. on Sunday.
