The purpose of this review is to ensure the selected remedy remains protective of human health and the environment. If the review identifies issues that affect protectiveness, the Five-Year Review re- port will recommend improvements. USACE plans to issue the final Five-Year Review in September 2023. The remedy for the landfill at the former Tongue Point Naval Air Sta- tion includes containment of the contaminated media within the land- fill, maintenance, monitoring, and land use controls.
