Elks hold scholarship
fundraiser
SEASIDE — The Seaside
Elks Lodge No. 1748, 324 Ave-
nue A, presents A Tribute to ZZ
Top, performed by Texas Trib-
ute, on Sunday. The doors open
at 5 p.m.; music starts at 6 p.m.
The event is a fundraiser for the
Elks Scholarship Fund, and is open
to all those in the community who
are 21 and over. The cost is $15 per
person or $25 for two, and there is
a barbecue dinner and a 50/50 raf-
fl e, along with a no host bar.

Rainy Day Village

NEHALEM — A town hall
and picnic will be held at 11 a.m.
July 9 at Nehalem City Park,
12705 Hugo St.
At noon, there will be a con-
versation to help plan the future
of Rainy Day Village on the
North Oregon Coast. Treats will
be provided, just bring a picnic
and a chair or a blanket. On July
16, there is a follow-up meeting
at 2 p.m., also at Nehalem City
Park.
Rainy Day Village is part of
the Village Movement to cre-
ate ways to support older adults
who desire to remain in their

launch date has been postponed
