MANZANITA – Hoff man Center for the
Arts will present new painting and ceramic
works at its July gallery exhibit, opening on
Thursday at 1 p.m.
The show will feature fi gurative paint-
ings from artist and educator Laura Ross
Paul alongside expressive bottles from
ceramicist Diana Crain. An opening recep-
tion is scheduled for Saturday from 3 to
5 p.m.
The exhibit will run through July 31. For

SEASIDE – Landscape and wildlife pho-
tography works by artist Kelly Grothe are
now on display at the Seaside Library.
Pieces are displayed in the library’s com-
munity room and foyer, and feature scenes
of the North Coast. Grothe’s works will be
on display through Aug. 30. For more infor-

Oysterville Schoolhouse set to host artisan fair
OYSTERVILLE, Wash. – The Oysterville
Schoolhouse artisan fair will take place from 10 a.m.
to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and 10 a.m. to
4 p.m. on Monday at the Oysterville Schoolhouse.
Peninsula artists will display and sell pottery, gar-
den art, upcycled works, fi ber art, glass mosaics
and jewelry. Also available will be cards, paintings,
prints, shirts, stained glass, hand made soaps, wind-
chimes and wood carvings.
Organizer Bette Lu Krause notes that baked
goods, hot dogs and live music will also be part of
the event. “We are back in full swing with 24 artists
and live music every day,” Krause said. “It’s a beau-
tiful wooded venue with artisans of all sorts outside
and inside the schoolhouse.”
Double J and the Boys will begin musical sets
each day at 10 a.m. Others set to perform are Mil-
lionth Street and Steve Frost on Saturday, Peninsula
Guitar Trio and Kurt Smith on Sunday and Krause
and Larkin Stentz on Monday.

season with ‘From Sea to Shining Sea’

ASTORIA – The North Coast Sym-
phonic Band will conclude its 42nd sea-
son with a concert titled “From Sea to Shin-
ing Sea” at the Liberty Theatre at 7 p.m. on
Sunday.
The performance will feature guest con-
ductor Brett Paschal, and will consist of an
exciting mix of American favorites, includ-
ing the traditional a rmed f orces medley and
“Stars and Stripes Forever.”
This event is free and open to the public,
with donations accepted. Doors open at 6 p.m.,
concessions will be available. For more infor-
