Hoff man Center
organizes poetry walk
events throughout July
MANZANITA – Hoff man
Center for the Arts will host a
poetry walk, taking place across
downtown locations throughout
July.
Poems will be displayed at
the Hoff man Center, as well as
at the Manzanita Visitors’ Cen-
ter, the Hoff man Wonder Gar-
den and other participating local
businesses.
Poets will read their work
along Laneda Avenue in Manza-
nita from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on
July 9.
These events are free and open
to the public. Raffl e tickets and
walking maps will be available
at the Hoff man Center from 1 to
5 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and
Sundays. Works will be on dis-
play through July 31. For more

Friends of Haystack Rock will
host The Great Puffi n Watch,
an annual event celebrating the
region’s tufted puffi ns, from 8 to
11 a.m. on Friday, Saturday, Sun-

mer night market from 6:30 to
9:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The open air market will fea-
ture a reception for “Beach
& Bird,” the gallery’s newest
curated exhibition, as well as live
music from Adams & Costello.
Local vendors will also be pres-
ent, selling arts, crafts and hand-
made goods.
This event is free and open

LightBox Photographic
Gallery seeks entries
for art show
ASTORIA – LightBox Pho-
tographic Gallery is now accept-
ing entries for “The Pacifi c
Northwest 2022,” a juried group
exhibit showcasing the works of
Northwest photographers.
The show will be presented
in a catalog format. Selected
works will be printed with pig-
ment ink and displayed at Light-
Box from July 9 through Sept. 3.
Works will also be presented in
an online gallery and catalog.
Participation in the exhibit
is free for LightBox members
and $50 for nonmembers. The
deadline for submissions is Fri-
