Trash Bash Art Festival
to celebrate creativity,
recycling
MANZANITA – Celebrating
the possibilities of recycled mate-
rials, the Heart of Cartm will host
the Trash Bash Art Festival, fea-
turing multiple events spanning
from Thursday to Sunday.
Sponsored by the Oregon Arts
Commission, Tillamook Coast
Visitors Association and more, the
four day event will include a Trash
Art Gallery on display at the Hoff -
man Center for the Arts, as well as
a Trashion Show at Nehalem Bay
Winery on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
An opening party will precede
the latter event, featuring musi-
cal guests Erotic City and cater-
ing from Neah-Kah-Nie Bistro
starting at 4 p.m. Refreshments
will also be available for purchase
from Surf 2 Soul during the event.
Trash Art Gallery reception tick-
ets are $40, while tickets for the
Trashion Show are $50. For more

Soup Bowl benefi t night Wildlife Center hosts
Birds of a Feather event
returns
ASTORIA – Enjoy a soup din-
ner at The Harbor’s annual Soup
Bowl benefi t night, held at The
Loft at The Red Building on Satur-
day at 5 p.m.
This event benefi ts victims of
assault and domestic violence. Din-
ner guests will be invited to choose
a handmade ceramic bowl, donated
by potter Richard Rowland, and
enjoy soup, bread and signature
cocktails. A silent auction will be
held during the dinner event, hosted
by author and actor David Frei.
Guest speakers will include Ore-
gon Attorney General Ellen Rosen-
blum, Clatsop County Circuit Court
Judge Cindee Matyas and a local
survivor sharing her experience.
Following the event, an after-party
will be held at Astoria Arts and
Movement Center at 8 p.m., featur-
ing live music from Ginger Vitus.
Tickets for the dinner are $60,
which include admission to all
events. After-party admission

ASTORIA – Wildlife Center of
the North Coast will host the Birds
of a Feather Spring Festival, off er-
ing an open house and native plant
sale, on Saturday and Sunday from
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The festival marks an annual
opportunity to take a tour of the
facility, alongside raffl e prizes and
activities for kids. Visitors have
the chance to learn about bird life
cycles and habitats.
This event is free and open to all.
Donated proceeds will benefi t the
Birds of a Feather annual campaign,
supporting wildlife rehabilitation,
ecology education and conservation

Spring Wine Walk set
for Seaside
SEASIDE — The Seaside
Downtown Development Asso-
ciation will host the Spring Wine
Walk on Saturday from 3 to
6:30 p.m. in downtown Seaside.
Coinciding with Oregon Wine
Month, this event will feature tast-
ings from more than a dozen local
wineries, plus refreshments from
downtown merchants. Find wine
walk maps at the Seaside Carousel
Mall and Holiday Inn Express &
Suites from 1 to 6 p.m.
Admission for the event is $20,
plus the cost of tastings. For more

Buoy Beer Co.
to hold lager festival
ASTORIA — Buoy Beer Co.
will introduce Frühlingsfest, the
brewery’s fi rst festival dedicated
to the lager family of beers, on
Saturday at noon.
Named for a German word
meaning “spring festival,” the
event will feature nine guest
breweries as well as staple brews
and craft selections from Buoy
Beer. The brewery also recently
announced the debut of a rotating
lager series.

Folk trio Joseph
set to perform at
Liberty Th eatre
ASTORIA – Folk music trio
Joseph will perform at the Liberty
Theatre on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Named for the Wallowa County
city of Joseph, the group is made
up of sisters Natalie Schepman,
Allison and Meegan Closner.
They recently released a second
album, “Good Luck, Kid.”
General admission for the show
is $28 in advance or $30 at the
