Crab, Seafood & Wine Festival celebrates 40 years
Festival returns to
Clatsop County Fairgrounds
BY KATHERINE LACAZE
Over the past four decades, the Crab,
Seafood & Wine Festival has changed
names, locations and sponsors, but one thing
has remained the same: the overarching
vision of the event, celebrating the bounty of
dining on the coast.
“It has good roots,” marketing manager
and assistant director Regina Willkie said,
who’s been with the Astoria-Warrenton Area
Chamber of Commerce for 25 years. “We’ve
stuck to those roots throughout the years. It’s
changed physically and it’s grown as far as
number of vendors, but the general presence
has remained consistent,” Willkie added.
