    Flamenco performance set for Seaside

SEASIDE – Flamenco dancer Savan-
nah Fuentes and multi-instrumentalist
Diego Amador Jr. will perform “Eterno,
el Flamenco vive,” a presentation of
dance and music at the Bob Chisholm
Community Center on Wednesday at
7 p.m.
The duo have forged a dynamic part-
nership, linking the Northwest to the rich
history of fl amenco in Seville, Spain.
Fuentes, who was raised in Seattle, has
studied fl amenco extensively and danced
in over 400 performances and workshops.
Amador Jr., who recently released the
debut album “Presente en el Tiempo,”
was immersed in fl amenco from an early
age. He has toured with a wide range of
fl amenco and jazz artists and explored an
array of musical instruments.
Admission for the show is $26 for
general admission, $40 for VIP tickets,
$16 for students and $12 for children. For

Seaside Egg Hunt set for Saturday
Ben Rosenblum Jazz
Trio performs in
Cannon Beach
CANNON BEACH — The Ben Rosenblum Jazz
Trio will perform at Cannon Beach Community Church
at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Co-sponsored by Escape Lodging, the concert will
feature New York-based jazz pianist and accordionist
Rosenblum alongside his signature trio. Rosenblum
recently released his third album, “Kites and Strings,”
the fi rst to feature him on both piano and accordion.
His debut album with the trio, “Instead,” released
to critical acclaim and preceded an international tour
along with appearances in prestigious jazz venues. He
was also a featured soloist at Carnegie Hall and has per-
formed at the Library of Congress.

Klahowya Youth Volunteer Program off ers carving class
ASTORIA — Lewis and Clark National
Historical Park will off er a course on wood
carving techniques to high school students
at the Fort Clatsop Visitor Center on Satur-
day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This course, led by ranger Izzy Sanchez,
is part of the park’s Klahowya Youth Vol-
unteer program, which off ers opportunities
for teens to learn living history skills, then
commit four hours of their time to demon-
strate their learned skill during the summer
season.
The session will be limited to 10 stu-
dents who pre register with the park. Partic-
ipants are asked to bring water and warm
clothing. Safety gear and snacks will be

SEASIDE — The Seaside a nnual Egg
Hunt is set to take place at Broadway Park
from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
Sponsored by Providence Seaside Hos-
pital, the returning event will off er a fun
opportunity for kids 10 and under to spend
time outside searching for colorful eggs.
The Easter Bunny will also be on site
throughout the event for holiday photos.
A treasure dive event for ages 7 to 17
will follow the egg hunt at the Sunset
Pool. The egg hunt is free and open to all
kids 10 and under, while the treasure dive
costs $2 for older kids and teenagers. For
